Health and Safety Policy
As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Mississippi Berries has taken various measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and customers. Our main priority is keeping our staff and customers safe. If you are not feeling well, please DO NOT come to our farm.
We kindly ask that you follow all of the guidelines and procedures we have implemented.
All pick your own customers will be required to pay for their baskets before picking.
Please note only standard sized 2 Litre and 4 Litre plastic strawberry baskets can be picked into and all sales are based on volume and not weight. For those that do not have standard plastic berry baskets they will be provided to you. Customers may bring their own standard 2 or 4 Litre plastic strawberry baskets if they are clearly labelled, in good condition and washed between visits. If additional baskets are required they are available at a cost of $2.50 each. We do not accept returns.
We are doing our best to offer our customers multiple ways to purchase and pick-up our products, either in person at our berry patch or at our sales stand in Balderson.
Before coming out to the farm, check on patch conditions and hours of operation to ensure you have the most up to date conditions. Daily picking conditions are posted on our website or by calling our “berry hotline” at 613-259-9911.
Thank you for supporting our farm business and we look forward to serving you the very best strawberries in the Ottawa Valley.
